Leaving Sin Vegas 8

It is a well known theory that if you press the call button continuously, a lift actually comes far more slowly than if you were to just press it once.

But, as with all logical anomalies, humans still insist upon pressing call buzzers incessantly, regardless of the speed of the result. It would appear that our insistence that our calls should be answered immediately stems from some kind of ego that makes us assume the world does indeed revolve around us...

The only things that move faster when bells ring are dogs in psychological experiments. And they get food as a reward.

Well, newsflash... I'm no damn Pavlovian dog, OK?. I can't jump to your attention, robotic-receptionist-girl. My desk is a good 10ft from the office phone - and you ringing it multiple times in quick succession DOES NOT MAKE ME GET THERE FASTER. Geddit?
