Some might say I'm a bit of a talker. I could, in fact, talk to myself all day quite happily, and then have a cup of tea and continue for another wee banter. All the more reason, I say, to blog these half-baked ramblings into cyberspace. No-one will every read them, but at least it gives my vocal chords a rest for an hour or two.
It may have come to your attention - yes, YOU... that one lonely soul reading this (or, it could just be me, re-reading this... in which case - Hi me! Did I forget I wrote this?. How exciting for me.) that I really quite like a cup of tea. Indeed, I am quite passionate about a cup of tea, and I'm growing to appreciate the growing green tea phenomenon. Nice with lemon, I say.
Of course, it may also already be to your attention that I'm a bit of a traveller. Not much. Nothing exciting, like, uhmmmm..... the Amazonian Rainforests or Antartica. I've barely scratched the surface of the globe with my wanderings, in fact. But, I've worked here and there... Europe, Asia, Australia. All in the search of a good cup of tea.....
Not that anyone else knows that, mind. We''l keep that between you and me, right? Ostensibly, I've travelled to broaden my mind, experience cultures and do all that psycho-babbling nonsense one tells potential employers when trying to explain the reason for that 'brief' 9-month trip to Australasia (and the accompanying tan). I'm currently maintaining - with great enthusiasm - that the reason for my present employment in Asia is that I want to gain more experience in teaching, and eventually forge a career in language teaching.
Which is all bollocks. What I really, REALLY want is a cup of tea that will make me cry tears of pure crystal at it's sheer beauty and scrumptiousness. And everyone knows that tea comes from China, don't they?
And so, I continue on my search for tea... and the appropriate accompanying biscuit. I DO love a good cup of tea and a sit down.
